Welcome to our slice of paradise! If you do arrive late, please be aware it is dark in Borrego Springs (International Dark Sky Community), so be careful and drive safely as you find the home.
Please follow the steps below: Upon pulling up to the driveway, you'll see the address sign at the beginning of the driveway (2191 Borrego Valley Rd). Go straight down the driveway, you'll see a small Casita on the left. Continue past the Casita, and you'll see multiple storage containers on your left shortly therafter. The MoonBox Container Home is sitting between the two large storage containers. Pull up to the far side of the containers, where you'll see an opening. Please enter and park through here. Enter the keypad code below, and enter your sanctuary! The door keypad code is: 3679 Please be sure to lock all doors upon checkout. Please only park your vehicle in this designated area, and do not drive around to any other sides of the containers or other parts of the property. This is a private property with additional residences :) |

Experience the perfect blend of modern amenities and off-grid comfort in our desert container home. Your MoonBox container home is completely off-grid, drawing water from a well, and electricity from roof-mounted solar panels.
To preserve solar battery power, it's essential to run the AC on ECO mode, maintaining a temperature between 75-85°F. This small space stays cool if window blinds are rolled down. Following these tips will ensure a comfortable stay while conserving energy. Enjoy your unique desert retreat! |

CHECKOUT

➔ Check out time is 10 am. Please adhere to this timing to ensure our home can be prepared for the next guests. ➔ Turn off all TVs and lights, and return all remotes to their respective places. Replacements for these items are $50 each. ➔ Please clean up / gather all your trash and food items (bags under the kitchen sink), tie them up, and place them in the restroom area. ➔ Hang any used towels on the hooks in the entryway. ➔ Please be mindful to leave the doors closed, to ensure you run efficiently (yay, off-grid!). ➔ Please ensure, doors are locked upon your departure. ➔ Turn off all the lights. |

➔ We are so happy you are here! Please keep in mind that this is our family’s home when not rented and we ask that you treat it kindly. Enjoy yourself and this special place!
➔ No firearms of any kind permitted. Any trace of firearms / guns / bows brought to the property will be fined and penalized to the fullest extent of the law. ➔ WE ARE ON A SEPTIC TANK. PLEASE DO NOT FLUSH ANYTHING EXCEPT TOILET PAPER. Anything other than toilet paper, please put into the trash cans. ➔ Absolutely NO SMOKING in our home. Any smoking or vaping must be done outside, SAFELY. Please be sure to pick up any cigarette buds, wrappers, etc and dispose of them properly in a trash can. If this is not honored there will be a fine $ ➔ If there is anything missing when you arrive, or any damage done during your stay please report it immediately to us. This is to avoid having any overcharges when you leave. ➔ Water conservation! We love and respect California, We ask if you could please be mindful of water usage during your stay. ➔ NOTE: You are out in nature. You may end up encountering wildlife of many kinds. Please respect and keep your distance from any and all wild animals, as they are just that-- WILD! :) And although we don't see them often, please keep an eye out for snakes in the brush, or in the sand. You can find snake safety info here. Remember, in the event of any emergencies, CALL 911. |
